Some of the unusual claims we have handled include the devastating tornadoes of 1974, an urban sewer explosion in 1981 when we handled over 22,000 claims, the I997 floods, the major hail storms of 1996, 1998 and 2002, a contractor liability claim in 2007 involving mold and affecting over] 50 homes, sending a CAT team to help with hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ike, and the destructive ice storm in January, 2009.
