Mike Gilligan – President/Adjuster

Mike joined McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt in 1991 and was named President in 1994. Prior to joining McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt, Mike worked for the accounting firm Peat Marwick, where he earned his CPA designation.

 As a licensed Kentucky adjuster Mike mainly handles large commercial property losses and assists on catastrophe losses. In 1998 Mike handled two fire losses totaling 17 million dollars.

 

As President, Mike is responsible for client development, supervision of employees and administration for self-insured accounts.

 

Mike is a member of the Greater Louisville Claims Association where he served as President in 1998 and Treasurer in 1997. He is also a member of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (NAIIA) and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Central Region.

 

Mike graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1986 and is an avid basketball fan. In his spare time Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Susan and 4 children. He also enjoys playing golf, watching golf etc.--you get the picture.

 

 

 

Maryhill M. Mundt - Vice President/Adjuster

Maryhill McIntyre Mundt joined McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt in 1993 and was named Vice President in 1996.  Prior to joining the family business, Maryhill lived in Boston , MA while working for Brown Forman Beverage Company in their Sales Training Division.

 

Maryhill has been a licensed Kentucky / Southern Indiana adjuster for 11 years and handles automobile and general liability claims for self insured clients and other insurance carriers.  Her main case load consists of property damage claims for Jefferson County Public Schools.

 

Maryhill has enjoyed participating in the Greater Louisville Claims Association in past years.  She is a graduate from the University of Kentucky where she earned her Bachelor in Arts degree in Business Administration.  She also played for UK ’s traveling club volleyball team.

 

Maryhill is married with three children.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, along with coaching and playing volleyball.

 

 

  

Wayne Barnes – Sr. Property Specialist

Wayne got his feet wet in the insurance industry in 1977 when he was an inspector/investigator for a private commercial reporting firm.  He became a multi-peril staff adjuster in 1985 for a regional insurance company and was promoted to Senior Property Adjuster in 1993.  He joined MGM in January 1999.  He has successfully served in large dollar amount mediations and has been appointed appraiser or umpire on several contested property claims.

 

Wayne ’s education includes a BA from the University of Kentucky, his AIC from the Insurance Institute of America and two certificates from Vale National.

 

He and his wife enjoy hiking.

 

 

Benjamin A. Barnes – Property Adjuster

Ben joined our staff in April 2002.  His background in carpentry and cabinet making immediately paid dividends as a property adjuster and he has quickly developed a very “discerning eye” in property claims.

 

Ben’s education includes the University of Louisville and Jefferson Technical College.   He is currently working to obtain his AIC.

 

Ben enjoys fitness activities and sports of all kinds.  He and his wife are the parents of two children.

 

  

 

Dennis Corley - Adjuster

Dennis graduated with a BBA from the University of Kentucky in 1985 and joined the MGM staff in 1991, where he is currently the manager of the Louisville office.  Prior to working with MGM he was employed with Kelly services.

 

Dennis has attended seminars relating to numerous insurance-related subjects including fraud, reconstruction and loss assesment.  He also holds an affiliation with the NAIIA.

 

In his spare time, Dennis enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, mostly at sporting events and involved in handyman projects.  He is involved in many community and church activities.

 

   

 

Rita Spalding – Adjuster

Rita worked as a secretary for our company for over 20 years before obtaining her adjuster's license in 1991.  She is a graduate of Louisville 's Presentation Academy , and attended the University of Louisville and Commonwealth Schools of Insurance.  She currently is MGM's Workers' Compensation Claims Manager.  She also handles public entity and commercial general liability claims and auto claims.

 

Rita is married and has two children.   She enjoys spending time with her young grandchildren, as well as playing tennis and gardening.

 

 

 

Patrick Stamps – Auto/Heavy Equipment Appraiser

Patrick joined MGM in October 2005 and has been in the claims business for approximately 13 years.  His technical and mechanical background began with farm equipment repairs and he worked as a body repair technician during his summer breaks through high school and college.  Patrick is also I-Car certified and has been through Heavy Equipment School in Denver, CO,  sponsored by GAB Robins, where he finished second in his class of 16 with an overall score of 94.

During his 13 years of claims experience he has worked several major auto and heavy equipment catastrophic losses including a recent 4 month trip to Hurricane Katrina ravaged areas where he assisted in a $72,000,000.00 loss appraising over 1,600 pieces of heavy equipment for a major shipyard.  He also assisted in a $52,000,000.00 loss for Ford Motor Company in Louisville , KY during the flood of 1997.  Also in 2005 he assisted in a multi-million dollar over spray claim in Carrollton , KY,  appraising over 1,000 semi-tractors and trailers, and in 2003 in Columbus , Ohio,  working over 1,400 vehicles from a recent hail storm.

Patrick has appraised and is familiar with automobile, trucks, motorcycles, construction equipment, fire and emergency equipment, semi-tractors and trailers, boats, commercial busses and mining equipment.  Patrick also has 8 years of property training and 13 years of casualty training.  

 

Chris Richert – Appraiser

Chris joined MGM in December 2006 and has been in the claims business for approximately 6 years.  His technical and mechanical background began with customizing cars from a young age and his claims experience comes from a position at Humana Military and Managing a independent appraisal company Insurance Claims Services.

Chris has appraised and is familiar with automobile, trucks, motorcycles, fire and emergency equipment, semi-tractors and boats.

Charles “Butch” Cornell - Adjuster

Butch has been an independent insurance adjuster with McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt for 6 years, and have 18 years experience in adjusting liability and property claims.  With MGM, he is responsible for adjusting liability and property claims in the central and western Kentucky areas.   Prior to that, he worked as a field adjuster for Kentucky National Insurance Company for all lines of claims in a 32 county area.  Before Butch became an independent insurance adjuster, he owned and operated Kinkade-Cornell Insurance Agency for approximately 17 years. 

 

Butch is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.   He is currently a member of the Bluegrass Claims Association. 

 

He is married with one grown son, and has two very spoiled cats, Sax and Grimm.   Butch enjoys spending his free time outdoors or golfing. 

 

 

 

Monica Mouser - Adjuster

Monica has been an independent insurance adjuster with McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt for 10 years specializing in casualty and PIP claims with experience in preparing automobile appraisals.  Prior to that, she worked as an adjuster for Kentucky Farm Bureau for 9 ½ years.  Monica is a graduate of Elizabethtown Community College with a major in Business Administration.   She is a past Vice-President of the Central Kentucky Claims Association and still an active member. 

                      

Monica is married and has two teenage stepdaughters.  She and her husband have two dogs:  a Golden Retriever, Winston, and a Jack Russell Terrier, Riley.  She also enjoys spending her free time outdoors.  

             

 

Frances Carter - Adjuster

Fran is an independent insurance adjuster with McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt and has been employed with MGM for approximately 28 years.  She is presently handling casualty losses and has experience in preparing automobile appraisals.   Fran is a graduate of Elizabethtown Community College majoring in Business Administration, and is currently a member of the Central Kentucky Claims Association. 

 

Fran is married with one grown daughter and one teenage daughter.  She and her husband have one dog, Max, and one cat, Geraldine.  She enjoys spending time playing piano and working outdoors.

John Dotson - Office Manager/Adjuster

John began his adjusting career in 1990 and is a Kentucky licensed adjuster.  He specializes in residential, mobile home and commercial property losses.  He was promoted to Office Manager for the Lexington, KY location in 2003.  In 2005 he spent time in Louisiana handling Hurricane Katrina claims.

John has attended numerous insurance related seminars and is a member of the Kentucky Claims Association, Bluegrass Claims Association, Kentucky Chapter International Association of Arson Investigators, Kentucky Chapter National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators and the National Association of Catastrophe Adjusters.   He is also an accredited California Earthquake Adjuster.

He has also served on planning committees for the Bluegrass Claims Association and the Fatal Fire Homicide Investigation School and has served as President and Vice President of the Bluegrass Claims Association.  He was voted Claims Person of the Year in 2005 by the Bluegrass Claims Association.

In his spare time, John enjoys golf, cooking and spending time with his wife and two children.

Don McDaniel - Appraiser

Don McDaniel has 15 years as an auto/heavy equipment appraiser for MGM.  Prior to that, he had 7 years managerial and appraisal experience for 3 major automotive dealerships in Kentucky .  During his work with the dealerships, he was required to attend numerous seminars involving paint/refinishing and frame repair.

 Since he has been employed by MGM, he has appraised autos, trucks, motorcycles, boats, heavy equipment, school buses, recreational vehicles, semi-tractors/trailers, shipping containers, farm equipment, fire, police and rescue equipment and vehicles.  He has also worked some catastrophic losses involving hail damage, flood and overspray.

Don is married with two children and four grandchildren.  In his spare time he plays golf and enjoys reading and spending time with his family.

 

Chris Monarch - Adjuster

Chris is a Kentucky licensed adjuster with 8 years of experience.  All of this time has been spent with MGM.  Chris dedicates most of his time to property and auto related losses.

Prior to joining MGM, Chris was a marketing representative for Nelson/Monarch Insurance, a division of Arthur J. Gallagher and Company, specializing in general liability and property coverage for schools and other public entities in Kentucky.  Chris has other previous work experience as a police officer in Lexington, KY and Boarding Team Member for the United States Coast Guard.

Chris is married and has three children.

Debbie Good - Office Manager/Adjuster

Debbie has been in the claims industry since 1981.   She specializes in casualty and general liability losses. She has attended numerous insurance-related seminars and holds a Kentucky adjuster’s license.  Debbie is a member of the Bluegrass Claims Association and the Kentucky Claims Association.

 

Debbie has two children and a Yorkie named Beau.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fishing and flying.

 

 

  

Darren S. Tuggle - Adjuster

Darren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Insurance from Eastern Kentucky University .  He has approximately 15 years experience in multi-line adjusting and has been a staff adjuster for a major insurance carrier.  He has attended numerous training seminars, including MBI continuing education and Crawford & Company Appraisal School.  He holds a current Kentucky Adjuster's license.

In his spare time, Darren enjoys camping with his wife and two boys, along with golfing, fishing, and motorcycling.

 

 

  

Darryl Hibbard - Auto/Heavy Equipment Appraiser

Darryl  joined our company in 2004, with 20 years of practical experience specific to auto body paint and repairs.  He began his career after 4 years of vocational training in auto body, refinishing, welding and metal fabrication. 

 Prior to joining our company, Darryl spent 8 years working on heavy equipment repairs on both tractors and trailers for a couple of major dealerships, specifically dealing with repairs to Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack and Volvo tractors.  Of those 8 years, 7 included managing the body shops for those dealerships. 

Over the past 20 years Darryl has attended multiple training classes including Dupont, PPG, Sikkens, Chief frame equipment and classes provided by Paccar, Volvo and Mack manufacturers. He has been ASE certified for approximately 14 out of the 20 years he worked in collision and refinishing. Darryl has had the opportunity to repair and appraise cars, trucks, motorcycles, semi-tractors/trailers, ambulances, fire trucks and police and sheriff cruisers.  He has even had the opportunity to assist in personal aircraft repair.

Darryl’s greatest joys are his wife and son.  He enjoys most outdoor activities, especially riding his motorcycle, water skiing, and coaching his son’s baseball team.

David Hawk - Tennessee Supervisor/Adjuster

David  graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1979 and commissioned into the US Army as a Helicopter Pilot.  He was Honorably discharged in 1985 at the rank of Captain and began his career at State Farm Insurance in Knoxville, Tennessee.
 
He attended Vale National and received certificates in Automobile and Property Estimating as well as the State Farm Claims course.  He has attended many seminars and specialty related courses in Claims Litigation, Risk Management, Fraud and Arson and Black Lung Claims.  He has significant experience in negotiating Class Action and Mass Tort claims.
 
Over the years he has served as a Claims Manager supervising field adjusters and handling large losses.  He has extensive experience in Arson investigations, Large commercial  property and liability claims as well as Medical and Legal professional liability claims.   He has worked Catastrophe claims throughout the country.  Claims ranged from wind and hail to hurricane and earthquake.
 
He originally joined MGM in 1998 and has returned to supervise the Tennessee territory.
