James A. McIntyre - Chairman

Jim graduated Cum Laude from Notre Dame in 1953. Soon afterwards, he started his successful career in the insurance adjusting industry, which was briefly interrupted by a two year obligation as he proudly served in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Major.

Jim was employed as a staff adjuster at Michigan Mutual until the early 1960s, when he joined Ben Horton and became co-owner of the independent adjusting firm, McIntyre and Horton. Over the years and as the firm grew, it became as it is known today, McIntyre, Gilligan and Mundt, Inc.; Jim as Chairman.

Among other notable industry positions, Jim has been the Vice President of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, (NAIIA).

He and his wife Judy are devoted grandparents and avid golfers. Jim also enjoys reading and playing Bridge.

Mike Gilligan – President/Adjuster

Mike joined McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt in 1991 and was named President in 1994. Prior to joining McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt, Mike worked for the accounting firm Peat Marwick, where he earned his CPA designation.

 As a licensed Kentucky adjuster Mike mainly handles large commercial property losses and assists on catastrophe losses. In 1998 Mike handled two fire losses totaling 17 million dollars.

 

As President, Mike is responsible for client development, supervision of employees and administration for self-insured accounts.

 

Mike is a member of the Greater Louisville Claims Association where he served as President in 1998 and Treasurer in 1997. He is also a member of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (NAIIA) and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Central Region.

 

Mike graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1986 and is an avid basketball fan. In his spare time Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Susan and 5 children. He also enjoys playing golf, watching golf etc.--you get the picture.

 

 

 

 

Jon "J." G. Mundt - Vice President

J. joined MGM in 2009 after 22 years with the Louisville Division of Police and Louisville Metro Police Department.  During his time with the police, J. served his community as a patrolman in the Smoketown and Shawnee neighborhoods, as a Detective and Sergeant in White Collar Crimes, and as a Sergeant in the Fraud, Video, Polygraph, Computer Forensics, Highlands neighborhood, and Public Integrity Units.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2005.  J. spent the final three years of his first career as the commander of the Public Integrity Unit. 
 
J. attended Centre College, Bellarmine College, and graduated from The University of Louisville.  He is active coaching any sport that his three children play.  J. is a big golfer, just not a very good one.

 

 

  

Wayne Barnes, AIC – Sr. Property Specialist

Wayne became an inspector/investigator in 1977 and many of his clients were insurance companies. He became a multi-peril adjuster for a regional insurance carrier in 1985 and was promoted to senior property adjuster in 1993.  Wayne joined MGM in January 1999.

In addition to his duties in property adjusting, he has successfully served in large dollar amount mediations and has been appointed appraiser or umpire on many contested property claims.

Wayne 's education includes a BA from the University of Kentucky, his AIC from the Insurance Institute of America and two certificates from Vale National.

He and his wife Karen love to hike, play Scrabble and entertain their grandchildren.

 

Benjamin A. Barnes – Property Adjuster

Ben joined our staff in April, 2002, with a background in carpentry and cabinet making. His education includes the University of Louisville and Jefferson Technical College .  

Ben enjoys fitness activities and sports of all kinds.

He and his wife are the parents of three children and are very active with church obligations.  

 

 

  

Dennis Corley - Adjuster

Dennis graduated with a BBA from the University of Kentucky in 1985 and joined the MGM staff in 1991, where he is currently the manager of the Louisville office.  Prior to working with MGM he was employed with Kelly services.

 

Dennis has attended seminars relating to numerous insurance-related subjects including fraud, reconstruction and loss assessment.  He also holds an affiliation with the NAIIA.

 

In his spare time, Dennis enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, mostly at sporting events and involved in handyman projects.  He is involved in many community and church activities.

 

 

 

   

Patrick Stamps – Auto/Heavy Equipment Appraiser

Patrick joined MGM in  2005 and has been in the claims business since 1993. His technical and mechanical background began very young as he was raised on a farm in Western KY operating and working on farm equipment and vehicles. Patrick also worked as an auto body repair tech during his summer breaks in high school and college. Patrick was employed by GAB Robins from 1995 until 2005 where he attended heavy equipment school, ranking 2nd out of 16 with an overall score of 94.

During his career Patrick has worked thousands of claims including several major auto And heavy equipment catastrophic losses. In 2005 he assisted in the hurricane Katrina ravaged area at a famous shipyard where he appraised over 1600 pieces of heavy equipment totaling approx $500,000,000.00. He also assisted in a $52,000,000.00 loss for Ford Motor Company in Louisville , KY during the flood of 1997. Also in 2005 he assisted in a multi-million dollar overspray claim in Carrollton , KY appraising over 1,000 semi tractors and trailers. Patrick has also worked several major hail claims two of which exceeded over 1500 damaged vehicles.

Patrick has appraised and is familiar with automobiles, semitractors, fire & emergency equipment, motorcycles, boats, construction equipment, trailers, and commercial buses. Patrick has even assisted and has training in railroad , military, and aviation losses involving trains, planes , and army tank repairs. Patrick’s specialty is any and all heavy equipment, however he also has over 16 years of property and casualty experience.

In his spare time Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife and their new baby girl born Jan 7th 2010 . Patrick also enjoys fishing and is an avid sports card collector.

 

Chris Richert – Appraiser

Chris joined MGM in December 2006 and has been in the claims business for approximately 6 years.  His technical and mechanical background began with customizing cars from a young age and his claims experience comes from a position at Humana Military and Managing a independent appraisal company Insurance Claims Services.

Chris has appraised and is familiar with automobile, trucks, motorcycles, fire and emergency equipment, semi-tractors and boats.

Charles “Butch” Cornell - Adjuster

Butch has been an independent insurance adjuster with McIntyre, Gilligan & Mundt since 1997, and has been in the claims business since 1969 adjusting liability and property claims.  With MGM, he is responsible for adjusting liability and property claims in the central and western Kentucky areas.   Prior to that, he worked as a field adjuster for Kentucky National Insurance Company for all lines of claims in a 32 county area.  Before Butch became an independent insurance adjuster, he owned and operated Kinkade-Cornell Insurance Agency for approximately 17 years. 

 

Butch is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.   He is currently a member of the Bluegrass Claims Association. 

 

He is married with one grown son, and has two very spoiled cats, Sax and Grimm.   Butch enjoys spending his free time outdoors or golfing. 

 

 

 

Monica Mouser - Adjuster

Monica has been an independent adjuster with MGM since 1997, specializing in casualty and PIP claims.  Prior to that she worked as an adjuster for Kentucky Farm Bureau where she started in 1986.  Monica is a graduate of Elizabethtown Community College with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.  She is a past Vice President of Central Kentucky Claims Association and is still an active member.

 

Monica is married with 2 stepdaughters and one grandson. She and her husband have 2 dogs, a Golden Retriever, Winston, and a Jack
Russell Terrier, Riley.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

             

 

Frances Carter - Adjuster

Fran began with MGM in 1976 and became a licensed adjuster in 2000.   She handles casualty and general liability claims, as well as cargo losses. Fran is a graduate of Elizabethtown Community College majoring in Business Administration and is currently a member of the Central Kentucky Claims Association.

Fran has two daughters and a granddaughter.  She enjoys walking with her dog, and playing the piano as well as tending to her yard.

John Dotson - Office Manager/Adjuster

John began his adjusting career in 1990 as an automobile/heavy equipment appraiser, prior to becoming KY licensed as a multi-line adjuster. In this capacity he handled auto/heavy equipment, property, liability, worker’s comp and conducted surveillance until 2001.

Since 2001 he has specialized in residential, mobile homes and commercial property losses and has served as the Lexington Office Manager since 2003. John has also handled numerous Appraisal Clause claims where he has served both as an appraiser and an umpire. He has also been involved in the litigation, mediation, and settlement conferences on complex property losses and has testified in court at the local, state and federal levels.

In 2005 and 2006 he spent time in Louisiana handling Hurricane Katrina property losses while overseeing a group of auto/heavy equipment appraisers in the storm ravaged area.

John attends numerous insurance related seminars and is a member of the KY Claims Association, Blue Grass Claims Association, Greater Louisville Claims Association, KY Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators, National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators, and the National Association of Catastrophe Adjusters. He has also held adjuster designations with the California Earthquake Authority, National Flood Insurance Program & Texas Windstorm.

He has served on numerous planning committees for the Blue Grass Claims Association where he has held the position of President in 2005 and Vice President in 2004 and 2010. He was voted Claims Person of the Year in 2005 by the Blue Grass Claims Association.

John enjoys golf and soccer and spending time with his 2 children.

Chris Monarch - Adjuster

Chris has been a Kentucky licensed adjuster since 2002.  All of this time has been spent with MGM.  Chris dedicates most of his time to property and auto related losses.

Prior to joining MGM, Chris was a marketing representative for Nelson/Monarch Insurance, a division of Arthur J. Gallagher and Company, specializing in general liability and property coverage for schools and other public entities in Kentucky.  Chris has other previous work experience as a police officer in Lexington, KY and Boarding Team Member for the United States Coast Guard.

Chris is married and has three children.

Debbie Good - Office Manager/Adjuster

Debbie has been in the claims industry since 1981, and has been a licensed Kentucky adjuster since 1992.   She specializes in auto, casualty and general liability losses, and has attended numerous insurance-related seminars.  She is a member of the Bluegrass Claims Association and the Kentucky Claims Association.

Debbie has two children and a Yorkie named Beau.  She enjoys spending time with her family & friends, and watching NASCAR and Tennessee sports (Go Vols!).

Darren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Insurance from Eastern Kentucky University .  He has approximately 20 years experience in multi-line adjusting and has been a staff adjuster for a major insurance carrier.  He has attended numerous training seminars, including MBI continuing education and Crawford & Company Appraisal School.  He holds a current Kentucky Adjuster's license.

In his spare time, Darren enjoys camping with his wife and two boys, along with golfing, fishing, and motorcycling.

 

 

  

Darryl Hibbard - Auto/Heavy Equipment Appraiser

Darryl  joined our company in 2004, with 20 years of practical experience specific to auto body paint and repairs.  He began his career after 4 years of vocational training in auto body, refinishing, welding and metal fabrication. 

Prior to joining our company, Darryl spent 8 years working on heavy equipment repairs on both tractors and trailers for a couple of major dealerships, specifically dealing with repairs to Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack and Volvo tractors.  Of those 8 years, 7 included managing the body shops for those dealerships. 

Over the past 20 years Darryl has attended multiple training classes including Dupont, PPG, Sikkens, Chief frame equipment and classes provided by Paccar, Volvo and Mack manufacturers. He has been ASE certified for approximately 14 out of the 20 years he worked in collision and refinishing. Darryl has had the opportunity to repair and appraise cars, trucks, motorcycles, semi-tractors/trailers, ambulances, fire trucks and police and sheriff cruisers.  He has even had the opportunity to assist in personal aircraft repair.

Darryl’s greatest joys are his wife and son.  He enjoys most outdoor activities, especially riding his motorcycle, water skiing, and coaching his son’s baseball team.

Jeff has been a claims representative since 1991.  His primary focus is property including all large loss claims, however, he has experience in all lines of insurance and coverages.
